App empire is not about having an idea for an app. Everybody and their mamma has
an idea for an app,its about having a system that you can follow that
will yield results after you do your homework. Chad has built a lot of
apps and more importantly he doesn't have any app lotto winners like
angry birds, draw something etc. He searched the app store found what
was working and attempted to make a better app with a twist and better
marketing etc.Chad knows that its not about the prettiest app
its about having a functional app that does what you say and getting
downloads, testing, tweaking and making it great.
The author of App Empire , Chad does an excellent job of outlining his ideas in chapter
format and includes a section at the end of each chapter for "what I
learned."The author has some good resources in his book for
researching app ideas and he shows the reader how to put those ideas
into play.
Most other app books focus on the design/development of apps. This is
the first one in which smart MARKETING is the focus. As a
developer, this book is now an essential resource in my app-marketing
arsenal.
App Empire - Make Money, Have a Life, and Let Technology Work For You by Chad Mureta shows readers how to create, develop, test and market apps that will sell in the marketplace. The app industry grew even during the most recent recession.
The apps technology is moving at a ludicrous speed. Apple, Google and RIM are the biggest players. Top app trends include location-based services, social networks, mobile commerce, mobile e-mail and video. Apps literally live on smartphones.
The author explains that apps are designed for entertainment or productivity. Productivity apps consist of tracking diets, creating grocery lists, currency conversions, turning an iPhone into a flashlight and many other applications limited only by your imagination. Apps are so popular because consumers can get what they want instantly and at a low cost.
